The Board of Liquidation is composed of nine members: the Mayor and the two City Councilmembers-at-large, who serve ex officio, and six appointed members, referred to as the “syndicate” members. The syndicate members have traditionally been selected from leaders of the business, financial and professional community of New Orleans and serve twelve year terms with a new syndicate member appointed every two years.

All members of the Board of Liquidation serve without pay. The incumbent members of the Board of Liquidation, who serve until their successors are appointed and their terms of office are:
